TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF RYE WATER LANE, CORSCOMBE

DORSET COUNCIL has issued a Notice under Section 14 [2] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984 as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along Rye Water Lane, Corscombe from outside Gaffers Farm to outside Bracket’s Farm (in both directions), a distance of approximately 80 metres. The Notice is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation between 08:00 until 17:00 on 17th January 2022 and remain in force for five days, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 18th January 2022.

This Notice will enable CIUS agents on behalf of Scottish and Southern Power Distribution to excavate across the road to provide a new electric supply.

The alternative route, which will be sign posted is as follows: Rye Water Lane, Lovelands, Hackney, A356 and vice versa.
