TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF A356, SOUTH PERROTT DORSET COUNCIL has issued a Notice under Section 14…

PROPOSED TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF VARIOUS ROADS, HALSTOCK
Proposed temporary road closure, exact date and duration may change. Wessex Water who attended the Parish council meeting on the 25th November said they hope they can minimise disruption.
PROPOSED TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF VARIOUS ROADS, HALSTOCK
I have received an application from Wessex Internet to close VARIOUS ROADS, HALSTOCK;
YEOVIL ROAD, between Barretts House and Quiet Woman House, a distance of approximately 1590 metres.
CORSCOMBE ROAD, between Quiet Woman House and the entrance to Pondsmead House, a distance of approximately 650 metres. C132, between its junction with Corscombe Road and its junction with Meredith Close, a distance of approximately 330 metres. ADAM’S GREEN, between Quiet Woman House and the entrance to Portland Cottage, a distance of approximately 235 metres. WATERY LANE, between its junction with Adam’s Green and a point approximately 50 metres north east.
The closures have been requested to allow Wessex Internet to carry out fibre cable installation. These works are programmed to commence from 06 January 2025 until 04 February 2025. The closures will be carried out in phases to allow for diversion routes. Once one phase is complete and road reopened, the next will begin.
Wessex Internet will publicise the road closures in a number of ways: they will place information boards on the road in this area to inform the travelling public of the works; they will carry out a letter drop to local residents directly affected by the works; and they will sign a vehicular diversion route using the local road network. The following map shows the extent of the closures and the diversion route.
This document is for information only, however if you have any concerns about this proposal, please contact Izzy Rowland, (trafficteam@dorsetcouncil.gov.uk) by 22 December 2024.
