Notes re Closure of Highstreet Corscombe
Clarification from Wessex Internet
I will seek clarification but I would read it as closure 7-11th 24/7. Alternative routes in and out are shown on the map in blue. However it appears residents in the red zone would only be able to get out by request but I think would need to leave extra time to allow for the road section to be safely opened. I agree it is very disruptive on a daily basis.
Where we have road closures, where it is safe to do so, we will move the signage back to allow people access during times when there is no work actually taking place.
This is usually early mornings or after 4 pm when our construction team are not actually working.
The road closure notices have to state 24/7 as part of our permit application.
If anyone is in need of emergency access during working hours, please note that the team on site will do their best to accommodate this.“
This only affects residents in the red zone on the map. Alternative routs in and out of the village are shown in blue.
There is no phased work plan available.
