West Dorset Litter Pick

March 26 @ 12:00 am - March 27 @ 11:30 pm

Have you noticed the truly awful amount of litter in our verges over recent months?  Well you can now channel your anger and frustration by joining a new community litter picking group.  West Dorset Litter Pickers is initially focussed within the Halstock and Corscombe area, but aims to expand across all of the Chimes villages over the coming months.  Strongly supported by the Parish Council and Dorset County Council, the aim is to mobilise an army of willing volunteers and carry out a spring clean of our verges on Friday 26th and Saturday 27th March.  Many hands make light work!  It will also embark upon an education and deterrence campaign with the Council, so you will likely see temporary signs appearing on our lanes over the coming weeks.
To register your interest in joining the group, please email, or text/phone Jon Pentreath on 07970 416245.
You can also follow the group on Twitter (@westlitter) and Instagram (@litter_free_west_dorset).
And note the date in your diary – 26/27 March.
