Heigher Halstock Leigh update

The Parish Council is aware of the unauthorised development at Halstock Leigh and the level of concern within the community. We have raised concerns with Dorset Council regarding the handling of this matter, particularly in relation to possible enforcement action and the continuation of development on the site without a validated planning application.

Dorset Council has stated that the matter will now proceed through the formal planning process, with a planning application expected to be published for public consultation. The Parish Council cannot take a position on the application until it is formally validated and made available to the public.

Our role is to ensure residents have access to clear, accurate information and understand how to submit their views once the planning application is published. We will provide guidance on how to comment through the official consultation process as soon as the application becomes available.

The Parish Council will continue to monitor the situation closely and share factual updates as they are received.
